1/5/2021 Update:
As you prepare for your upcoming trip, please be aware that the County of Kaua‘i has announced new requirements related to COVID-19 for inbound travelers. Please review the requirements below before you depart for your upcoming vacation to Hanalei Bay Resort.
Kaua‘i Travel Requirements
Travelers flying to Kaua‘i directly from the mainland are subject to a mandatory 10-day quarantine. However, the 10-day quarantine can be avoided by following one of two processes listed below.
By following either option listed, you would be eligible to stay at Hanalei Bay Resort. If required to quarantine, travelers will not be permitted to check-in at Hanalei Bay Resort and will be responsible for any related expenses that may be incurred, as Hanalei Bay Resort is not a quarantine facility nor a Resort Bubble. We are committed to the health and safety of its Owners, Guests and Associates, and will follow all State and County guidelines.
OPTION ONE:
Travelers flying to Kaua‘i from O‘ahu, Maui, Lanai, or the Big Island of Hawai‘i, who have been in the State of Hawai‘i for more than 72 hours before departing for Kaua‘i, can avoid quarantine by taking the following steps:
Please note that other travel requirements may apply when flying from the mainland to O‘ahu, Maui, Lanai and the Big Island of Hawai‘i, prior to your arrival on Kaua‘i. We encourage you to stay up to date by visiting https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/.
OPTION TWO:
Travelers from out-of-state now have the option of a shortened 3-day quarantine by participating in the Resort Bubble post-travel testing program. To qualify, travelers must do the following:
Checking-In at the Resort
Upon arrival at the Resort, a Guest Service Agent will ensure that the Terms of Registration have been accepted. You will be asked to provide documentation proving that all persons in your party are not subject to quarantine (i.e. your negative test results, etc.), as well as sign a written confirmation stating that neither you nor anybody in your party are subject to quarantine. Once the registration form has been completed and verification that no one in your party is subject to quarantine, you will be checked-in. If you or anyone in your party are subject to quarantine, you will not be able to check-in. If you are concerned you will not be able to meet the requirements listed above, we encourage you to make alternative reservations as a precaution.
In compliance with CDC and State recommendations, we are asking all Owners and Guests to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing when entering common areas of the Resort. We also encourage you to use the hand sanitizer stations that have been placed throughout the property. Large gatherings in common areas are not permitted. Should you desire more space to entertain family and friends, we are available to recommend local parks in the area.
If you experience a delay or disruption during your travels and need to speak to the Front Desk to make arrangements for late check-in, please call (808) 826-6522. Again, as Government policies continue to evolve surrounding travel to and between the Hawaiian Islands, please ensure you stay up-to-date on the latest at https://hawaiicovid19.com/.
Thank you for choosing Hanalei Bay Resort as your vacation destination. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
IMPORTANT: Before you travel, we encourage you to perform a self-assessment COVID-19 health screen. If you or any persons in your travel party are experiencing any flu-like symptoms associated with COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle ache or pain, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell or if you or anyone in your travel party have been exposed or in close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please follow the recommendations of public health officials and stay home. For additional information concerning COVID-19 or a self-assessment COVID-19 health screening, please refer to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on their website.
